What do you want in 5 years?
And I've gotten pretty generic responses, Like I want kids,or working here, going to school for this. But it's usually just one thing. One of the questions I have for you guys is...
Do you only want to accomplish one thing in 5 years? It usually doesn't take 5 years to have a kid. Or 5 years to move out. And i'm not saying don't do it. But why not shoot for the starts go above and beyond. Like I want to go to school to become a special ed teacher. And in the next 5 years I do intend on moving out and I do hope to have kids. I could easily make just one of those things happen. And with a little work I can make all of those happen plus more. You just need to find your motivation. Which actually brings up my next question, What motivates you? Is it your goals? Is it family? Is it just wanting to achieve something? For me my motivation is competition. I know people say competition can be unhealthy if it's for the wrong reasons. But who's to judge if competition is unhealthy? NFL football is motivated by pride and competition. They still get a paycheck whether they win or lose. Even with college sports Lets use baseball this time. The players aren't getting payed at all, In fact they have to pay to be able to play. But what drives most of them is competition. If they can play a great game there is a chance that the next game scouts will be there. Where do you want to be in 5 years? And what will motivate you to get there?
